<p><span style="color: var(--color-text); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text);"><strong style="color: var(--color-text); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text);">Tori is an attorney who has delivered results for Missourians, both in court and at the ballot box.</strong><strong> </strong></span>She has protected fundamental freedoms at the Missouri Supreme Court, defended access to healthcare, and worked to ensure government serves the people. She began her policy work in the Missouri State Capitol in 2015 and <span style="color: var(--color-text); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text);">has</span><span style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text-accent-primary);"><strong style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text-accent-primary);"> more than a decade of experience</strong></span> in statewide legislation, advocacy, and campaigns.</p><p>She helped lead the effort to protect reproductive freedom in Missouri, ensuring voters—not politicians—have a voice. For her work, she was named <a href="https://www.aclu-mo.org/news/missouri-aclu-attorney-honored-lawyer-year-award/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Lawyer of the Year</a> by Missouri Lawyers Media.</p><h4>Now she’s running for the Missouri House to take that fight to Jefferson City—protecting reproductive freedom, strengthening our public schools, and making sure every Missourian has access to a great education and affordable healthcare.</h4><span class="image image-framed image-left image-tilt-left" style="width: 40%;"><span class="image-inner-wrapper"><img src="https://run.imgix.net/c99d368f-3570-4bf8-b805-db8c96983608/179535bc-ff2a-4046-871b-011a098aa00f/179535bc-ff2a-4046-871b-011a098aa00f.jpg?ixlib=js-3.8.0&amp;bri=0&amp;con=0&amp;sat=0&amp;high=0&amp;shad=0&amp;usm=0&amp;rect=204%2C82%2C2082%2C2706&amp;w=1500" alt="" caption="" align="left" alignwidth="40" tiltdirection="left" variant="framed"></span><span class="caption" style="display: none;"></span></span><p>Tori grew up with two younger brothers, the daughter of a public school teacher and a small business owner. She spent her childhood in 4-H, playing running back on her middle school football team, participating in theater and other activities, where she continued to learn the importance of teamwork, education, and community.</p><p>She earned both her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Missouri, where she met her husband, Nolan, an engineering student and Mizzou baseball player. Working multiple jobs while combining merit scholarships with the Pell Grant, she became the first lawyer in her family and the first in her dad’s family to graduate college.</p><p>At Mizzou, Tori was an Alpha Delta Pi and elected by her peers to serve as president of the Student Bar Association and the graduate student body. She founded the campus’s largest student advocacy group to combat sexual assault and support survivors, and <a href="https://medium.com/@bidenfoundation/recognizing-bravery-and-inspiring-action-at-the-biden-courage-awards-1bd25cd6241d" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">in her senior year received the Courage Award from President Biden for her advocacy</a>.</p><p>During law school, Tori worked with survivors and children affected by domestic and sexual violence through Mizzou Law’s clinic program. She also gained hands-on experience at the Missouri Attorney General’s Office, the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office, and internationally with the Refugee Appeals Board in Cape Town, South Africa. Today, she works at the state’s largest civil liberties organization, a nonprofit law firm, where she defends civil liberties across Missouri and leads its legislative and policy work.</p><span class="image image-framed image-left image-tilt-left" style="width: 40%;"><span class="image-inner-wrapper"><img src="https://run.imgix.net/c99d368f-3570-4bf8-b805-db8c96983608/daac9673-8f24-4752-b85f-5e5be410dead/daac9673-8f24-4752-b85f-5e5be410dead.jpg?ixlib=js-3.8.0&amp;bri=0&amp;con=0&amp;sat=0&amp;high=0&amp;shad=0&amp;usm=0&amp;rect=0%2C0%2C2749%2C4124&amp;w=1500" alt="" caption="" align="left" alignwidth="40" tiltdirection="left" variant="framed"></span><span class="caption" style="display: none;"></span></span><p>Tori lives in Clayton with Nolan and their dogs, often spotted on walks through <a href="https://house.mo.gov/districtmap.aspx?district=099&amp;counties=StLouis" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">House District 99</a>'s neighborhoods or waiting for a pup cup at a nearby coffee shop. She has been a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters for about five years and enjoys riding her horse, Izzy, in Missouri’s state parks.</p>

<p>Recognized as a 2026 Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate, Tori is committed to building safer communities through effective gun violence prevention policies.</p>
